Israel’s late-night attack on al-Shafa hospital, many Palestinians injured

Israeli forces raided al-Shafa Hospital in Gaza late at night and carried out heavy firing, injuring several people. At least 31,645 Palestinians have been martyred and 73,676 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.

According to the report of the British Broadcasting Corporation, Israeli forces have surrounded Al-Shafa Hospital in Gaza City, where hundreds of patients, medical staff and homeless people are sheltering.

A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces has claimed that Israeli forces are conducting an operation at the hospital, senior Hamas fighters have regrouped inside the hospital and are using the hospital to launch attacks on Israel.

On the other hand, the patients and the hospital staff are panicking due to heavy firing by the Israeli forces inside the hospital.

In a recorded call posted on a WhatsApp group, one person said, ‘Israeli tanks have surrounded the hospital, we are hiding inside the tent, we are hearing the sounds of tank firing around the compound.

In unverified footage posted on social media, heavy gunfire can be heard around the hospital.

In a statement from the Ministry of Health of Gaza, the raid on the Israeli hospital was described as a clear violation of international humanitarian law.

The Israeli occupation forces are using their fabricated narrative to justify the attack on al-Shifa medical complex, the statement said.

Remember that thousands of displaced Palestinians are taking shelter in this hospital, where the Israeli forces raided.

Israeli forces claimed to have found a network of tunnels under the hospital that Hamas used during a November 2023 raid by the Israel Defense Forces.

However, Hamas has denied the accusations and claims of the Israeli forces.

On the other hand, at least 12 Palestinians have been martyred and many injured, including children, in Israeli attacks on Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

At least 31,645 Palestinians have been killed and 73,676 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. The death toll in Israel’s October 7 attack by Hamas is 1,139.
