The Iranian news agency indicated that Israeli attack On Damascus, several military sites were targeted and carried out in two phases, the first in Damascus and the second in As-Suwayda.

She added that the site of the missile’s fall is the same place where “Imad Mughniyeh”, one of the most prominent leaders of the Hezbollah militia, was killed on February 12, 2008.


In addition, the Israeli attack on Damascus targeted several military sites, with the exception of the Kafr Sousse area, claiming that it targeted residential buildings.

Targeting a prominent person

The Israeli radio said that a senior figure may have been targeted in the Kafr Sousse attack.

15 people, including at least two women, were killed as a result of Israeli shelling that targeted a residential neighborhood in Damascus in the early hours of Sunday, in the highest death toll in the Syrian capital as a result of a similar attack, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, while the Syrian regime army reported that 5 were killed. Among them is a soldier in the attack.

Israel rarely launches similar strikes inside Damascus, as its strikes are limited to military sites on the outskirts of the capital, its countryside, and other areas.

The shelling, according to the Observatory and the official media, mainly targeted the Kafr Sousse neighborhood in southwest Damascus, which is considered one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in the Syrian capital and contains military, intelligence and security branches.

The director of the Observatory, Rami Abdel Rahman, told AFP that the raid killed 15 people, including civilians, including two women, explaining that the targeted area includes an Iranian cultural institute, without being able to specify the target of the bombing.

He explained that the death toll “is the highest as a result of the Israeli bombing of Damascus.”
