This Friday, October 20, it was Nabil Boukili, federal deputy of the PTB, who was the guest of Maxime Binet to discuss the hot issues of the news.
Returning first of all to the statement made yesterday evening by Raoul Hedebouw, “over the last ten years, Israel is more terrorist than Hamas”, Nabil Boukili does not believe that the president of the PTB has gone too far. “Israel has killed more than 6,500 Palestinians over the last ten years, there are 104 UN resolutions once morest Israeli colonization policy, Israel is considered an apartheid country,” recalls the federal deputy. He states that if Hamas is considered a terrorist organization, Israel might be too. “Hamas is considered one because it attacks civilians, which Israel has also done for decades and without any sanctions of the international community. We cannot deny the criminal aspect of Israel.”
Also returning to the bombing of a hospital in Gaza, Nabil Boukili recalls the presence of a war of information and opinion. “Sticking to the facts, Médecins Sans Frontière and the diocese running this hospital both declared that the missile was Israeli, several media outlets also questioned the evidence put forward by Israel,” he says. For the MP, Joe Biden’s remarks are colored by his unconditional support for Israel and are not credible as long as he does not condemn this country’s war crimes.
Nabil Bouliki also points out the hypocrisy of Western policy: “Schools and hospitals have already been bombed long before, Israel did not wait for this moment. They have already left more than 1,000 children dead, it is an inhumane situation and there is no condemnation of these war crimes. There was one directly for the war in Ukraine but none for Israel,” underlines the federal deputy. “I denounce the Belgian government and the European governments who have condemned nothing.”
Regarding hypocrisy in Belgium, Nabil Boukili considers that “Palestinian lives are worth as much as Ukrainian and Israeli lives, we cannot make geostrategic choices by choosing who we will support according to our interests.”
Finally, Nabil Boukili recalls that the pro-Israeli demonstrations launched by organizations close to the PTB are not intended to exploit the conflict in Belgium: “Should we defend the lives of civilians? This is what the protests are calling for, a ceasefire so that we stop murdering civilians.”
