Israeli Raids in Lebanon: Updates on Missile Launches and Casualties

Our correspondent in Lebanon said that more than 30 missiles were launched from Lebanese territory towards Israeli territory.

It indicated that some of these missiles exploded as a result of interceptor missiles over the areas of Marjayoun and the Marjayoun Plain.

At least one person was killed and others were injured when Israel launched raids near the city of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon, yesterday, Monday, according to media and official sources.

The governor of Baalbek confirmed to Reuters that at least one civilian was killed and others were injured following the strikes.

The official National News Agency in Lebanon said, “Israeli aircraft carried out a raid on Monday evening targeting a residential building in the town of Ansar in the Bekaa, south of the city of Baalbek.”

The agency added: “Fires and plumes of smoke were seen rising from the targeted location.”

4 Israeli raids

Two Lebanese security sources reported that there were 4 Israeli raids on Baalbek.

They explained that one of the raids targeted the southern entrance to Baalbek, which was approximately two kilometers away from Roman archaeological monuments, while three raids occurred between Taria and Shamstar, regarding 20 kilometers west of the city.

The Israeli army also announced that it bombed two sites belonging to Hezbollah’s air system “in response to the launching of drones towards the Golan Heights in recent days.”

Our correspondent reported that a raid took place near the Mahdi Shamstar schools, while the second raid targeted carpet stores in the outskirts of Taraya in Baalbek, while the third raid took place on the Dar Al Amal station in Baalbek, and the fourth raid took place in Dorris.

It indicated that one person was killed, Mustafa Gharib, a former player in the football team of the Shabab Baalbek Club, while 6 others were injured.
