The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that “Israeli occupation snipers targeted the Director General of Pharmacy at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ashraf Abu Mahadi, while he was trying to reach the medicine warehouses of the Ministry of Health in Gaza in order to provide some medical supplies to Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, and some health centers in Gaza, which are still ongoing.” Working”.

A statement from the ministry added: “As soon as he arrived at the warehouses, it was discovered that there were snipers occupying a nearby place, and he was shot, wounding him and the driver of the health services vehicle next to him, and a third person was wounded.”

The statement continued: “In continuation of this heinous crime, the occupation forces targeted the ambulance that went to evacuate them as soon as it arrived at the scene.”

The Palestinian Health Ministry expressed its “denunciation of this crime, which is added to the black criminal record of the Israeli occupation,” calling on the United Nations and its institutions to work immediately to activate international humanitarian law and international resolutions related to protecting medical personnel and criminalizing their targeting.
