Al-Arabiya Channel – Al-Hadath, citing its correspondent in the Gaza Strip, announced that Israeli occupation forces are entering near the Rafah border crossing and there are reports of the crossing being stormed, in light of heavy gunfire and violent clashes.

The Israeli Military Council unanimously decided to continue the military operation in the town of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

According to Al-Arabiya – Al-Hadath, Israeli occupation planes conducted violent belts of fire around the perimeter of the crossing, and according to the channel, Israeli vehicles deployed near the perimeter of the crossing and targeted some of its buildings.

These developments came after a statement issued by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the war government had unanimously decided to continue Operation Rafah in order to exert military pressure on Hamas, facilitate the release of prisoners and achieve other objectives of the conflict. war, according to him.

The statement revealed Israel’s intention to send a delegation to Cairo to continue negotiations regarding Gaza, alongside strikes on the south.

This comes after Hamas announced in a statement on Monday that the movement accepted Egypt and Qatar’s proposal for a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

However, the Israeli government announced that it would send a delegation to meet with mediators and discuss the Gaza truce proposal accepted by Hamas, stressing that it “does not meet” its demands.
