Controversy has arisen after Israeli troops were captured shooting a Palestinian man believed to be a Hamas member and then driving a vehicle over his body.

According to Archyde.com on the 10th (local time), a shooting occurred in a house in Tulkarem, West Bank, on the 8th. Regarding this incident, the Israeli border police announced, “A clash occurred while special forces were conducting a raid to arrest wanted militants,” and “Three Palestinian militants were killed.” It has not been confirmed whether these are real Hamas members.

After the Israeli border police’s announcement, controversy arose when CCTV footage of the situation at the time was released. This is because a cruel scene was captured of Israeli soldiers driving a vehicle over the bodies of those who were killed.

According to a video released by the media, three Palestinian men ran out into the street as security forces in military vehicles raided their home. Two of them fell immediately after being shot. Another man disappeared off camera, but the media reported, “Looking at the video taken from a different angle, it is confirmed that this man was also shot.”

Israeli security forces then drove a vehicle over the body. When the body’s legs were trapped under the vehicle, the security forces stopped the vehicle for a moment, then reversed and drove repeatedly, passing over the body several times.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the incident and said it “demonstrates a culture of hatred and extremism.”
