Israeli forces have killed 3 Palestinians in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian ministry

More than 110 Palestinians and one Israeli have been killed in the West Bank since the start of the Israeli-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip on October 7.

The ministry said three people, aged between 29 and 31, were shot dead by Israeli forces at dawn; the incidents took place in Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah, Askar refugee camp in the northern city of Nablus, and Tubas, further north.

The ministry did not provide more information.

The Israeli military, for its part, said that while demolishing a militant’s house in Askar, explosive devices were thrown at forces and a shootout took place with what it said were terrorists.

Suspects are said to have hurled explosive devices at the forces during the arrests of militants in Jenin and nearby areas, and gunfire also took place.

During “anti-terrorist operations in the city of Beit Rima, terrorists threw Molotov cocktails and explosive devices at the forces, which were responded with combat fire,” the army said in a statement.

Israel occupied the West Bank during the 1967 Arab-Israeli war and its forces regularly launch raids against Palestinian militants based there.

Since Hamas invaded Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7, more than 1,030 wanted suspects have been detained in the West Bank, including 700 linked to the Palestinian militant group, the military said.

Violence between Israeli settlers and Palestinians has also increased in recent months.
