On Sunday, an Israeli drone strike targeted a car in southern Lebanon, belonging to Hezbollah’s VIP Protection Unit, according to sources, while there were conflicting reports regarding the targeted person.

Sky News Arabia sources indicated that the person who survived the Israeli assassination was Fadi Suleiman, the commander of Hezbollah’s central sector.

For their part, the sources said that the dead man was Fadl Suleiman, a leading personal protection official in Hezbollah.

Earlier, security sources reported that two fighters from the Lebanese Hezbollah group were killed today, Sunday, in an Israeli drone attack on a car they were traveling in in southern Lebanon.

Residents and security sources said that ambulances rushed to the site near a Lebanese army checkpoint, and it was not clear who the attack targeted.

A Sky News Arabia correspondent noted that the Israeli raids took place on the outskirts of the town of Rmeish and its environs in the central sector of southern Lebanon.

On Saturday, an Israeli raid on southern Lebanon killed two Hezbollah members while they were riding in a car, in an incident similar to Sunday’s incident.

The sources said that the two dead in the targeted car on Saturday were members of Hezbollah’s military supply unit.

“Netanyahu held consultations regarding the strike.”

Our correspondent quoted Israeli sources as saying that a government meeting scheduled for today was delayed because Netanyahu was conducting security consultations with the Chief of Staff and security leaders, and it is likely that these consultations are related to an operation to target a car in southern Lebanon today.
