Abdullah was killed as a result of an Israeli missile that hit a group of journalists who were covering the events of Alma al-Shaab in the south.

The Qatari Al Jazeera channel said that two of its employees, Elie Brakhia and reporter Carmen Joukhadar, were among the wounded.
The French international news agency, Agence France-Presse, said that two of its journalists were among the wounded, but the agency did not reveal their names.
In a statement, Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned the Israeli bombing that targeted journalists “during its aggression once morest southern Lebanon.”
At the United Nations, Secretary-General António Guterres expressed his condolences to the family of the murdered journalist.
