Bombing targets Khiam and other towns
The Lebanese National News Agency announced today, Wednesday, that a woman and her daughter were killed as a result of an Israeli raid on a house in the south of the country.
The agency reported that the Israeli bombing targeted a house in the town of Majdal Zoun, in the Tire district of the South Governorate. Media reports revealed that today, the Israeli army carried out an Israeli raid on the town of Khiam in southern Lebanon, which is one of the villages in the Marjayoun District in Nabatieh Governorate.
Israeli artillery targeted the outskirts of the towns of Tair Harfa, Al-Jebain, Al-Dahaira and Majdal Zoun in the south, according to what was reported by the official Lebanese National News Agency. At dawn today, Israeli forces fired heavy machine guns towards the Labouneh and Al-Alam mountains, in the western sector of southern Lebanon.
Throughout last night and into this morning, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flew over the villages of Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts in southern Lebanon. At night, Israeli forces fired flares over the southern border villages adjacent to the Blue Line.
It is noteworthy that the border areas in southern Lebanon have witnessed security tension and an exchange of fire between the Israeli army and members of Hezbollah in Lebanon since October 8, after Israel declared war on Gaza.
