According to reports, the hospital was targeted overnight without prior warning by the Israeli army. Al Jazeera reporters said it appeared that Israeli forces would repeat the attack on Shifa Hospital and also occupy Indonesian hospitals.
The Indonesian Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in northern Gaza. The hospital’s power supply has been turned off following its generator stopped working, forcing medical staff to use mobile phone lighting to operate on the injured.
