Israeli Army’s Deadly Raid on Nour Shams Refugee Camp in West Bank: 13 Killed, Including 5 Children

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Friday that 13 people, including 5 children, were killed by Israeli army gunfire in the Nour Shams camp, east of the city of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank.

For its part, the Israeli army said that it used a drone that “killed a number of terrorists” in the Nour Shams camp.

The army said it carried out the raid on Thursday in Nour Shams “to arrest wanted suspects, destroy terrorist infrastructure, and confiscate weapons.”

The army confirmed in a statement that there had been “an exchange of fire and the throwing of explosive devices towards the security forces” while its units were carrying out an “anti-terrorism” operation in the camp.

The Israeli police said in a statement that a member of the border guard unit was killed “during clashes with armed terrorists.”
