Palestinian Health Minister Mai Al-Kaila announced on Monday that the Israeli army is storming Palestinian cities, threatening hospitals and patients.
Al-Kaila said in a brief statement, “The Israeli occupation is storming all Palestinian cities and opening fire on and around hospitals, which poses a threat to the lives of patients inside them and spreads terror among them.”
During their storming of Jenin on Monday, the occupation forces reached the vicinity of the city’s camp, and were stationed at the entrance to Ibn Sina Hospital, where Israeli military bulldozers bulldozed the infrastructure surrounding the camp.
Damage to the Turkish Friendship Hospital in Gaza
For its part, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli bombing of the Strip caused damage to the only “Turkish Friendship Hospital” for cancer patients.
This came in a press statement by the hospital’s director general, Sobhi Skaik, posted by the ministry on Facebook, in which he said that the Israeli army repeatedly targeted the hospital’s vicinity.
According to the statement, “A state of panic struck cancer patients and medical teams as the only Turkish Friendship Hospital for cancer patients in the Gaza Strip was severely damaged as a result of the Israeli occupation repeatedly targeting its surroundings.”
He added: “The occupation not only increased the suffering and pain of cancer patients and deprived them of medicines and travel for treatment abroad, but also put their lives in danger by targeting the hospital’s surroundings.”
Martyrs and injuries in Jenin camp
A large force of Israeli occupation forces stormed Jenin camp, north of the occupied West Bank, with dozens of military vehicles and bulldozers, causing major destruction to the camp’s infrastructure.
The Palestinian resistance in the camp confronted the new Israeli incursion into the city of Jenin and its camp, detonating some explosive devices with the occupation vehicles storming the camp. Clashes also took place between the occupation and the resistance in the vicinity of the camp.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of 4 young men and the injury of 5, including serious injuries, following the Israeli aggression on Jenin, which coincided with another aggression in the Gaza Strip.
The director of Jenin Hospital, Wissam Abu Bakr, indicated in an interview with Al-Arabi that 9 young Palestinians were injured following the Israeli incursion into the Jenin camp.
The West Bank is witnessing a wave of tension and field confrontations coinciding with the Israeli army launching intense raids 24 days ago on residential neighborhoods in Gaza, in which more than 8,306 Palestinians were martyred, including 3,457 children, and 21,048 were injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Strip.
