Israeli army raids and settler attacks in the West Bank

Palestine – The Israeli army stormed several Palestinian towns in the occupied West Bank on Sunday evening, while settlers carried out a series of attacks against Palestinian vehicles, causing damage.

The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, said, “The occupation forces (Israeli) arrested the wounded boy, Abdul Rahman Nour al-Din Mansour, while he was passing through the Ein Siniya checkpoint north of Ramallah (central), where he was heading to install a prosthetic limb after he was injured in a bombing operation by an Israeli drone in July of last year.”

She pointed out that the town of Ya’bad, south of Jenin (north), was stormed, and searches were carried out, and the towns of Hizma, north of Jerusalem, and Silwad, east of Ramallah, were stormed amid gunfire and tear gas bombs (…), without any arrests or injuries being reported.

As for the north of Ramallah, the agency said that the army burned a civilian vehicle, adding that “the occupation forces stormed (the village of) Sinjil, while firing sound bombs and toxic tear gas at citizens and their property, which led to the burning of a vehicle.”

In turn, activists on social media posted a video clip of what they said were Israeli military reinforcements heading to the town of Beit Furik, south of Nablus (north).

Meanwhile, Palestine TV (governmental) said, “The eastern region of Nablus and the town of Beit Lid, east of Tulkarm (north), are being raided by the Israeli army.”

In the town of Sa’ir, north of Hebron (south), eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that an Israeli military force stormed the city, “and clashes broke out with citizens who threw stones at it, and it responded by firing a barrage of gas and sound bombs between the homes, which caused cases of suffocation and the burning of a vehicle.”

Regarding settler attacks, the agency said that settlers “gathered at the Kafel Haris roundabout, north of Salfit (north) and threw stones at vehicles without any injuries or damage being reported.”

“Dozens of settlers attacked vehicles with stones west of the village of Deir Sharaf in Nablus, causing damage to a number of them,” according to the agency.

In conjunction with the devastating war on Gaza that has been ongoing since October 7, settlers have escalated their attacks on Palestinians, while the Israeli army has expanded its operations in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in 604 deaths and about 5,400 injuries, according to official Palestinian data.

With full American support, Israel is waging a devastating war on Gaza, leaving more than 130,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and deadly famine.

In contempt of the international community, Tel Aviv continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop it immediately, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
