Palestine – The Israeli army forces launched a campaign of raids and arrests in several areas in the West Bank at dawn on Friday, which included sporadic confrontations and clashes.
On Friday morning, Israeli forces stormed the city of Jenin and the outskirts of its camp, carried out extensive raids and searches, and arrested at least 3 citizens amidst the outbreak of confrontations and clashes, according to the Palestinian News Agency “Wafa.”
Local sources reported to WAFA that “a large force of the occupation army and its military vehicles stormed the city from several axes, and began raids, searches and arrests, which led to the outbreak of confrontations and scattered clashes in several neighborhoods, during which the soldiers fired bullets, sound bombs and tear gas.”
The Israeli raids included assaulting and detaining citizens, and destroying the contents of homes and storefronts.
Israeli forces also stormed the city of Qalqilya and the town of Azzun to the east, and arrested at least 10 citizens.
Local sources reported that “large forces of the occupation army, reinforced with jeeps and military vehicles, stormed the city, carried out extensive raids in many neighborhoods, stormed homes and residential buildings, searched them, assaulted their residents, detained some of them, and conducted field investigations with them.”
In the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, Israeli forces arrested at least 5 citizens, including children.
Israeli forces also stormed the Askar al-Jadeed camp in Nablus, arresting five young men from one family, and armed clashes broke out in the camp between Palestinian youth and Israeli forces.
Israeli forces stormed a number of villages and towns in Al-Sha’rawiya, north of Tulkarm (Al-Sha’rawiya is the name given to a group of villages and towns in Tulkarm District and Jenin District).
Local sources reported that “the occupation forces stormed the towns of Qaffin, Attil, Deir al-Ghusun, al-Jarushiya and the Shuwaika suburb, and toured the neighborhoods and streets and were stationed at their main intersections, amid combing and searching operations in the area.”
The sources added that “the occupation forces seized surveillance camera recordings in the streets, neighborhoods and shops, without any arrests being reported.”
