Israeli army commanders inspect the Shuafat Checkpoint

Hebrew media said that the leaders of the occupation army arrived this evening at the Shuafat checkpoint, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, which witnessed last Saturday a shooting attack that killed an Israeli soldier and wounded others.

The Hebrew Channel 7 website indicated that Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz visited the checkpoint with the commander of the Jerusalem area in the Israeli police, Doron Turgeman, the commander of the border guards, and several Israeli leaders.

The Israeli officials were briefed on the results of the investigation into the shooting in which the Israeli soldier, Noa Lazar, was killed.

Local sources confirmed this evening, the arrival of large military reinforcements at the Shuafat camp checkpoint, in preparation for storming the camp, as part of the ongoing Israeli search for the perpetrator of the operation.

And the Hebrew Channel 12 reported today, Monday, that the “security forces” continue to search for the perpetrator of the shooting attack at the Shuafat checkpoint, and the special forces are facing difficulty as a result of the violent confrontations that erupt with the Palestinians during the search operations.

She stated that the army is still imposing a siege on the Shuafat camp and closing all sides to search for the perpetrator of the operation.
