The Israeli Army is advancing steadily on the center of the Gaza Strip, its new objective, while maintaining its operations in the south and north, where it is also carrying out tasks of cleaning Hamas infrastructure. In recent days, thanks to their victories in the center of the Palestinian enclave, the Defense Forces were able to find important enemy strongholds and ensure that they will soon completely dismantle them.

“The battalions in the central camps are currently facing the IDF force. They will stop functioning as other battalions have stopped functioning,” promised the commander of the 36 Division working in the area, Brigadier General Dado Bar Kalifa.

One of these groups that the Army seeks to eliminate is al-Bureij, made up of regarding 1,000 fighters, which operates in the center of the Strip. It is, however, only one of four Hamas battalions there. The remaining three are Deir al Balah, Maghazi and Nuseirat, and have already suffered damage in past Israeli attacks, including one that killed the brigade commander of these central camps, Ayman Nofel.

In any case, these offensives did not prevent them from continuing to function to a large extent, which is why the IDF is concentrating its efforts on definitively annulling them and being able to gain full control of the region.

Thus, in their first hours of ground operations in al-Bureij, the troops of the Bislamach Brigade managed to locate a shaft that led to a tunnel with an entrance to the extensive network of underground passages that terrorists use to move without being detected. A training camp was also identified.

This news comes following intense fighting in the north and south of the Strip, where the Army fought under difficult conditions to neutralize terrorists and eliminate threats.

“The fighting in Shejaiya was difficult and complex and, during them, we achieved important achievements. Shejaiya will no longer be a center of terror for Hamas,” Bar Kalifa celebrated regarding this neighborhood – one of the Hamas strongholds – in which one of the biggest battles of the last weeks of the war was fought.

Israel is being attacked on seven fronts and has already responded on six of them, Minister Gallant (IDF) said.

Even the Golani Brigade, an elite infantry unit, identified, surrounded and raided the homes of several senior leaders of the pro-Iranian militia, where key intelligence material was found.

Despite these advances, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant acknowledged that the situation is still complex and far from over.

“We are being attacked from seven different scenarios: Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank, Iraq, Yemen and Iran,” the official declared and specified that the Army “has already responded and acted in six of these areas.” “I’m going to say it as clearly as possible: anyone who acts once morest us is a potential target, with no immunity for anyone,” he added, warning Hamas and its allies in the region.

For his part, IDF chief Herzi Halevi said the war “will continue for many more months” and “we will work with different methods so that our achievements are maintained for a long time.”
