Israeli media reported, at dawn today, Monday, that an explosion took place in the Western Galilee, as a result of a missile fired from Lebanon.

And the Israeli occupation stated, in a statement, that “a rocket was fired from Lebanon, and it landed in an open area near a kibbutz, and the warning was not activated.”

The statement added that “artillery forces bombed open areas in southern Lebanon.”

For its part, the United Nations Interim Mission in Lebanon “UNIFIL” said in a statement that “a missile was launched from Lebanon towards Israel early this morning, while the Israeli army responded by firing dozens of shells.”

In the same context, the military media affiliated with the resistance in Lebanon said that “six shells fell between the towns of Alma al-Shaab and Tayr Harf, while 10 shells fell in the Umm al-Rub area south of the town of al-Duhaira,” noting that “the enemy artillery also targeted with 8 shells the Jabal Basil area west of Ramya town.

He added that “the hostile shelling was renewed at 3:30 in the morning, as 9 shells landed in the area between Hamul and the town of Tayr Harfa.”

The military media pointed out that “the artillery shelling was accompanied by the enemy firing 20 flare bombs in the airspace of the towns of Shihin, Marwahin and Zebqin,” stressing that the bombs “resulted in a fire in a forested area in the outskirts of the town of Shihin.”
