Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with the president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.
“Our President is making an intense diplomatic effort on the international stage. Our president has just finished a telephone conversation with Mahmoud Abbas,” said the head of the Turkish presidency’s Communications Directorate, Fahrettin Altun, stressing that Erdogan told the Palestinian leader that whatever happens, Turkey will continue to stand firmly “against to Israel’s barbaric attacks on Gaza and Israel will pay the price for this cruelty.”
Fahrettin Altun also reported that the Turkish president also underlined the following: “We must mobilize all means for a ceasefire, including the decision of the United Nations Security Council.”
President Erdogan also reportedly stressed that there must be unity among all Palestinian groups and Israel must be fought with unity.
