Iran, which supports Russia in the war against Ukraine and supplies drones to it, hints that Hamas could get weapons not only from Iran, but also from the black market in Ukraine.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, in response to a question at the Doha Forum, lashed out at Ukraine, saying it was a potential “black market” for arms. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called such accusations false and provocative.

An Iranian diplomat spoke about Iran’s politics at the Doha Forum. He acknowledged that Iran “in the past provided all kinds of support to Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad.” He continued: “If you’re asking me where they can get weapons, one of the black markets where they can get them is Ukraine. Very easily, without much effort, they can get everything [jiems reikia]in Ukraine.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine rejected Iran’s provocative and groundless accusations, which do not correspond to reality.

“The hypocrisy of the aforementioned statement becomes even more obvious if we consider Iran’s confirmed direct supplies of drones to Russia, which have long been proven by real evidence and facts that Iran does not want to perceive or see, despite their complete obviousness and indisputability,” the press service said in a statement.

The ministry once again warned Iran about the consequences of supporting the war against Ukraine, which far outweigh any benefits of cooperation with Russia.

“Iran should abandon its destructive actions and adhere to the principles and norms of international law,” the press service added.

The news about the words of the head of Iranian diplomacy was published by the Russian propaganda media. The TASS news agency’s headline read: “Hezbollah and Hamas can easily acquire all weapons in Ukraine – top Iranian diplomat.”

In his speech, HAAbdollahian mentioned not only his country’s support and the alleged existence of a black market, but also claimed that Hamas and Hezbollah are capable of producing weapons themselves.
