Donald Trump, Republican candidate for the White House, believes that Israel should strike Iranian nuclear facilities in response to Iran’s recent missile launch. The former president, speaking at a campaign event in North Carolina, referred to a question he posed to President Joe Biden this week about the possibility of Israel striking Iran’s nuclear arsenal. When they asked him this question, the answer should have been: “Strike the nuclear first and worry about the rest later,” Trump emphasized. “We’ll see what their plans are,” the tycoon continued.
Last Wednesday, Joe Biden said he opposed Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, in response to the Islamic republic’s massive launch of around 200 missiles towards the Jewish state. “The answer is no,” the White House resident told reporters when asked if he would support such an action by Israel. “All seven of us agree that the Israelis have the right to react, but they must respond proportionately,” he added, referring to the other G7 leaders. Donald Trump has so far been fairly silent on what is happening in the Middle East: he simply issued a dismissive statement earlier in the week, holding President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris responsible for the escalation.
