Israel: Security Prisoners Receive Viagra And Cannabis

Palestinian security prisoners in Israel are given medicine, some of which is not included in the medicine basket for Israeli citizens, reveals Channel 12. Among these drugs are Viagra, or anxyolites and antidepressants such as Cipralex, Prozac, Xanax or cannabis. Many questions arise regarding the usefulness of these drugs for security prisoners.

The Lavi organization, which collected the data, said “Israeli prison has become a joke for terrorists, and elected officials must respond with deeds, not words.”

“Medication is administered to prisoners in accordance with procedures. Medical cannabis provided once morest payment is only given to prisoners who hold licenses issued to them by the Ministry of Health or those authorized on its behalf. Prisoners suffering mental illnesses are treated with medication according to the instructions of a psychiatrist. While Viagra is a medication used for various medical indications”, reacted the Prison Service.

Last week, dozens of Palestinian security prisoners celebrated the Jerusalem bombing that killed 7 people in Neve Yaakov and were placed in solitary confinement.
