“When the Hamas terrorist group launches terrorist attacks, invades Israeli territory and fires rockets at Israel, we recommend being vigilant, following the official information of the Israeli authorities and following the instructions of the local authorities – the security situation can change very quickly”, according to the distributed statement.
The same recommendation applies to the citizens of our country currently in Palestine.
“If you are currently in Israel or Palestine or intend to travel there, please register with the address immediately https://keliauk.urm.lt/keliones-registracijos-formaso that we can contact you for consular assistance if necessary,” travelers are asked.
It is also reminded that Lithuanian citizens can apply for consular information by calling the 24/7 MFA telephone number +370 5 236 2444 or e-mail by post pilieciai@urm.lt.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends downloading the “Travel Safely” app and receiving relevant consular information and ministry announcements in the event of a crisis situation in a foreign country.
It can be downloaded from here: iOS – https://goo.gl/dOxeliAndroid – https://goo.gl/rPwrfx. General Reference – http://onelink.to/epmjp5.
Earlier on Saturday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis condemned Hamas attack in Israel.
Lithuania strongly condemns the firing of rockets and strikes on civilians by Hamas in Israel. The use of violence and terrorism must end.
