India abstained from voting on the UN General Assembly draft resolution on Israel’s occupation of Palestine. India has abstained from the resolution asking the International Court of Justice to explain the legal consequences of Israel’s occupation of Palestine. 87 countries supported the resolution, while 26 countries, including the United States and Israel, opposed it. 53 countries including India, France, Japan and Brazil abstained from the resolution. Palestine welcomed the UN General Assembly vote.
