Israel to “Hezbollah” after targeting Lebanese at the border fence: We do not want an escalation
On Wednesday evening, the Israeli occupation state sent a message to the Lebanese “Hezbollah”, stating that it does not want an escalation, but “will not allow the border fence to be violated or crossed.”
This came, according to what was reported by the official Israeli channel, “Kan”, a few hours after an explosion targeted several people at the “border fence with Lebanon.”
According to the Hebrew channel: “After a tense day on the northern border, Israel sent a message to Hezbollah this evening (Wednesday) stating: We do not want an escalation, but we will not allow damage to the fence or its crossing.”
The channel did not clarify the mediator through which Israel conveyed its message to “Hezbollah”, but it said that the American mediator Amos Hochstein, who led efforts that resulted in the signing of the maritime border demarcation agreement in October 2022, “is working again between Israel and Lebanon, this time.” This time on the issue of land borders.
And “Kan” added: “According to estimates, in the incident in which Hezbollah members tried to hit the fence, it was decided to use non-lethal weapons in order not to exacerbate the situation,” according to “Anatolia”.

The occupation army said: “A number of suspects approached the security fence on the border with Lebanon and tried to attack the security barrier area.” He added, “The army forces monitored them directly and used means to remove them,” noting that “the identity of the suspects is unknown.”
