The Israel Defense Forces carried out a series of “selective” airstrikes targeting the Shiite group’s financial infrastructure Hezbollah in Beirut and southern Lebanon.

It also notes that precautions were taken to reduce the risk of causing harm to civilians, including advance warnings to the population of the affected area, which were issued on Sunday through various platforms.

Representatives of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) denounced this Monday that the increase in bombings is harming essential services and putting children in Lebanon at serious risk.
The organization calls on all parties involved to protect minors from harm, in accordance with international humanitarian laws.
