AT LEAST 20 people were killed in Israeli strikes on the southern Gaza Strip shortly after Israel issued new evacuation orders on Monday (22/7), according to local media.
Via Telegram, Al-Aqsa TV channel reported that 20 people were killed and several others injured in air and artillery strikes on the eastern towns of Khan Younis.
Israeli warplanes also carried out strikes hitting a location in Qizan an Najjar village in Khan Younis city, the TV added.
The attack came after the Israeli military issued a new order in the morning for Palestinians to immediately leave the eastern area of Khan Younis and move to the new humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi.
In his statement, Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee claimed that there were various military operations and rocket fire from the eastern part of the humanitarian zone making staying there dangerous.
Meanwhile, through a statement issued by the Gaza Health Ministry, Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis issued an urgent appeal for blood donors.

The hospital said it was experiencing a serious shortage of blood units for the wounded and patients at the facility amid the latest Israeli attacks on Khan Younis.
The Israeli military ordered Palestinians to leave what it considers a war zone immediately. However, moving to the humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi does not guarantee their safety.
Israeli forces two weeks ago carried out a massacre in Al-Mawasi, which is claimed as a safe zone, killing 90 Palestinians and injuring more than 300 others in a series of airstrikes that hit tents and refugee shelters.
Following the bombing in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed in a press conference that the target of the attack was Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif and his deputy, Rafiq Salama.
However, Netanyahu said there was no confirmation of the deaths of the Hamas leaders. Hamas denied Israeli claims that the strike targeted Deif, Salama or their leaders. (Ant/Z-2)
