“Israel invasion uproar continues” Türkiye responds to Israel’s comparison of Erdogan to Saddam Hussein and describes Netanyahu

The Foreign Ministry stated via the “X” platform: “Whatever the end of the genocidaire Hitler was, the end of the genocidaire Netanyahu will be.”

The Foreign Ministry stressed that humanity will stand by the Palestinians, and said, addressing those targeting the Palestinian people: “You will not be able to exterminate them.”

She added, “Just as the Nazis who committed mass crimes were held accountable, so will those who seek to exterminate the Palestinians.”

The Turkish Foreign Ministry’s statements came in response to statements by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, in which he threatened Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Erdogan is following in Saddam Hussein’s footsteps and threatening to attack Israel… just let him remember what happened there and how it ended,” the Israeli foreign minister said on Twitter on Sunday evening, attaching a photo of the late Iraqi president Saddam Hussein and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Hebrew media reported on Sunday evening that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made statements against Tel Aviv and even threatened to invade Israel.

According to what was published by Turkish media, Erdogan said during his meeting with Justice and Development Party officials in the city of Rize in northeastern Turkey: “The point that Turkey has reached in the defense industries should not deceive anyone. If Turkey was very strong, Israel would not have been able to do what it did to Palestine.”

“We must be very strong so that Israel cannot do these things in Palestine,” he added.

Erdogan added, “Just as we entered Karabakh (Azerbaijan) and just as we entered Libya, we might do the same with them. There is nothing we cannot do. We just have to be strong and then what do we do? We take these steps.”
