Israel hit a target in Sidon with a drone

Israel reportedly launched a drone strike in Sidon, Lebanon.

In fact, a video is being circulated that allegedly shows the attack on a car that was in the area, while information is being spread stating that the strike killed two Hamas officials.

Sources speaking to Al Arabiya said the target of the attack was Samer al-Haj, a Hamas security official, who was reportedly killed in the attack on the vehicle he was traveling in.

In recent days and while an attack by Iran and Hezbollah is expected, Israel has been carrying out strikes in Lebanon.

The three-phase ceasefire plan

Diplomatic pressure is intensifying to avoid a generalized conflict in the Middle East. The United States, Qatar and Egypt in a joint statement called on Hamas and Israel to come to the truce dialogue table on August 15, betting on ending the war in Gaza to ease tensions between Iran and Israel. Tel Aviv has already accepted the proposal, but is preparing for any eventuality, as Iran insists on a bilingual stance.

There is the three-phase plan, which it is worth noting is not new. However, it is the first time that if Israel participates it will have to accept it.

OR first phase it includes a full ceasefire in Gaza for six weeks.

OR second phase “sees” a permanent end to hostilities in exchange for the release of all hostages and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces.

Finally, the third phase plans to launch a multi-year reconstruction plan for Gaza.
