The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas claimed on Monday to have released two women kidnapped during its attack on Israeli territory on October 7 and detained in Gaza.
At least 5,087 people, including 2,055 children, have died since Israeli bombing began. In Israel, more than 1,400 people were killed, the majority civilians on the first day of the attack.
