Israel-Hamas Truce and Prisoner Release: Latest News and Updates

The news was confirmed late Thursday followingnoon by Qatar. This Friday, a truce will be observed in the Gaza Strip from 7 a.m. (6 a.m. in Switzerland). It will pave the way for the realization of the agreement between Israel and Hamas which should take place from 4 p.m. (3 p.m. here): the release of 30 children, 8 mothers and 12 other Israeli women, once morest 150 of the 300 Palestinian detainees, mainly women and minors, appearing on the list prepared by the Israeli Ministry of Justice. The operation was segmented. Thirteen Israeli hostages will first be released, the Qatari Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday. Their families were notified by Mossad, to whom the list was handed over. It is possible that the ICRC, requested as an intermediary, will take them to Egypt through the Rafah terminal before they are handed over to the Israelis.
