The Israeli army will “expand its ground operations” Friday evening in the Gaza Strip, declared its spokesperson Daniel Hagari, at a time when the Palestinian territory is subject to intense Israeli bombardments.
Alongside these bombings, “unprecedented” since the start of the war, on the north of the Gaza Strip, communications and the Internet were cut in the Palestinian enclave.
At the end of a European summit in Brussels, French President Emmanuel Macron called for a “humanitarian truce” in the war between Israel and Hamas to “organize the protection” of civilian populations in the Gaza Strip. The head of state also announced the establishment of a “humanitarian coalition” with several European countries, notably Cyprus and Greece.
The Hamas health ministry announced that 7,326 people, including more than 3,000 children, had been killed in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war with Israel. Still according to this report published daily by the Ministry of Health, nearly 19,000 people were injured. An assessment which might not be verified from an independent source.
