The Army Israeli carried out an airstrike that resulted in the death of Muhammad Kamel, commander of the anti-tank missile unit of Radwan Force, Hezbollah’s elite unit, according to a statement issued by the military on Monday.
The note notes that ‘this terrorist was responsible for planning and carrying out multiple attacks, including launching anti-tank missiles against Israeli civilians,’ it said.
Several elite Hezbollah commanders have been eliminated
Israel stated this Monday that its troops continue to carry out “limited, localized and directed raids against Hezbollah targets” in the south of the neighboring country, and that in recent hours they have attacked 200 of its members.
“The Israeli air force quickly attacked the Hezbollah launchers used to fire the rockets from southern Lebanon,” they said.
The Israeli Army’s spokesman in Arabic, Avichay Adraee, announced this Monday new evacuation orders for around 20 towns in southern Lebanon, bringing the total number of evacuations in the last three days to more than 60.
The Lebanese Government estimates that 1.2 million people have left their homes due to Israeli attacks, which mainly affect the south of the country. There, Israel has been carrying out a ground invasion for almost a fortnight, facing resistance from the Shiite group Hezbollah.
