Israel destroyed two Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon

Israeli planes have hit two Hezbollah cells in Lebanon, according to Israeli military sources. The Israeli military said on Monday night that anti-tank missiles and rockets were to be fired at Israel from the two positions. According to the army, one cell was located near the Israeli town of Mattat, about 13 kilometers southwest of Aitaroun. The other was further north in the disputed Shebaa Farms area.

The Lebanese state news agency NNA had previously reported an Israeli airstrike on the southern outskirts of Aitaroun in southern Lebanon. It was initially unclear whether both sides were referring to the same incidents.
