Gaza: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has confirmed that Hamas has killed five more soldiers in a ground attack in Gaza. It was initially reported that three people were killed. However, the Israeli daily Haaretz reported that the names of two more soldiers were released later.
Sergeant Yakir Yedidya Shenkolevsky (21), Capt. Eytan Fish (23), Staff Sergeant Tuval Yaakov Zanani (20), Capt. Yahel Gazit (24) of the 261st Brigade’s 53rd Battalion, 261st Brigade, and Master Sgt. Gil Daniels was killed.
With this, 400 Israeli soldiers died in the Hamas attack in the war since October 7.
Meanwhile, Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency service, announced that two of its citizens were injured in a rocket attack by Hamas into Israel today. Two women in their 60s were injured. A picture of a building in Ashkelon destroyed by Hamas has also been released.
