The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) stated that Indonesia strongly condemns the massacre of Palestinian citizens carried out by Israel at a school in the Gaza Strip.
“Indonesia strongly condemns the massacre of more than 100 Palestinians at the Al-Tabaeen School in Gaza by Israel on August 10, 2024,” said the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the X platform monitored in Jakarta, Saturday (11/8).
The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated that Indonesia urged the UN Security Council to immediately conduct a thorough investigation into the incident. In addition, Indonesia called on the international community to unite to stop the crimes against humanity and genocide committed by Israel.
“Israel must be held accountable for all these crimes. All forms of impunity must be stopped,” the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed in the statement.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian presidency said the United States was partly responsible for Israel’s attack on a school in Gaza that killed more than 100 people.
“We hold the US government responsible for this massacre because of its financial, military and political support for Israel,” the Palestinian Presidency said in a statement on the X platform on Saturday.

Previously, the US government disbursed US$3.5 billion (around Rp. 55.8 trillion) to Israel to buy American weapons.
“The aid was disbursed at the same time as this terrible attack. It proves the US complicity in the ongoing genocide,” the statement said.
“The US must immediately end its unconditional support for Israel which has caused the deaths of thousands of innocent people, including children, women and the elderly,” the statement said.
On Saturday, more than 100 Palestinians were killed in a new Israeli attack on a school full of refugees in Gaza, Palestine. According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli airstrike hit a school in the Daraj area, east of Gaza City, around the time of morning prayers.
The Israeli attack also injured hundreds of Palestinians. Israel admitted to carrying out the attack on the grounds that the school was a military base for the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas. (Ant/Z-2)
