Israel and Ukraine deny the authenticity of media reports: “obviously fake”!

Today, a senior Ukrainian advisor and an Israeli official denied the authenticity of a media report indicating that

Israel tried to get Ukraine to give in to Russian demands during the talks.

A report in the Israeli Walla portal, the Jerusalem Post and the American news website Axios quoted an unnamed Ukrainian official as saying that Bennett urged Ukraine to submit to Russia.

Ukrainian Chancellor Mikhailo Podolak said on Twitter that “Israel, like other intermediary countries, does not offer Ukraine to agree to any demands from the Russian Federation, this is impossible for military and political reasons. On the contrary, Israel urges Russia to assess events more appropriately.”

For his part, an Israeli official described the report as “clearly fake,” saying: “At no time did Prime Minister Bennett advise President Zelensky to accept a deal from Putin, because no such deal was offered to Israel until we might do so.”

He added: “At no time did Bennett tell Zelensky how he was acting, and he has no intention of telling him regarding it.”
