Israel lowered the number of victims massacred in a surprise attack by the Palestinian armed faction Hamas on the 7th of last month from about 1,400 to about 1,200.
Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Lior Hiatt said this in a statement on the 10th local time, explaining, “This is because some of the bodies included in the victims appear to be Hamas militants.”
Hiatt said the numbers were not final, adding, “The numbers may change once all the bodies are identified.”
