Israel accused Iran on Tuesday of providing technical assistance to the government of Nicolás Maduro to teach it how to build drones and also provide precision-guided munitions for those aircraft.

These accusations arise in the midst of an attempt by world powers to finalize a new nuclear pact with Iran.

as you remembered Archyde.comVenezuela’s government said in 2012 that Iran was helping it build drones for self-defense.

The accusations regarding Iran’s assistance to Venezuela were made by the Israeli Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, at a press conference. He showed photographs of what he described as an Iranian Mohajer UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) in Venezuela.

“Our assessments show that Iranian PGMs (precision-guided munitions) are being delivered for these UAVs and other similar models,” Gantz said.

The photographs in question correspond to a speech by Nicolás Maduro, where a model of the Iranian drone is observed.

“Tonight I revealed that Iran has transferred to Venezuela knowledge for the production of UAVs on its territory, along with the transfer of weapons suitable for use in UAVs. Iran supports terrorism and is first and foremost a global and regional challenge and only then a challenge to Israel,” Gantz later wrote in Twitter.

Iran supports terrorism

The minister highlighted the concern of world leaders over the support provided by Iran to organizations linked to terrorism.

“I can tell you that in my meetings with partners around the world, including African and Latin American partners, I heard extreme concern regarding Iranian support for terrorism,” he said.

For its part, Iran denies that it supplies military drones to its allies. He also dismisses accusations that he is seeking nuclear weapons or supporting terrorism.

“So even if a nuclear deal is signed, it’s not really the end. We must ensure activity once morest Iranian aggression in the Middle East and beyond continues and prepare sanctions and operational capabilities in line should Iran violate it,” Gantz said on Twitter.

United States

After the declarations of the Israeli Defense Minister were made public, the director of Consular Affairs of the Venezuelan Embassy in the United States, Brian Fincheltub, established a position.

He considers the images “worrying” and confirms that Iran supports terrorism, which constitutes a direct threat to the United States.
