Dubai: The UAE and Abu Dhabi have come up with tougher restrictions in the wake of the new variant of Kovid. There has been a huge increase in the number of daily Kovid patients in the UAE over the past two weeks. Schools have switched to online classes
Classes in schools have gone online for two weeks as Kovid spreads. Only in some emirates has such a law been reached. Travel to some countries has been banned and the list of Red List countries has been updated. Those from countries where cases are most commonly reported will be screened at airports. Authorities have issued specific guidelines on quarantine for both UAE residents and residents of Abu Dhabi if Kovid is positive.
If the trip is to Dubai
1. Ten days of quarantine and no symptoms if Kovid is confirmed by PCR test is mandatory

1. People with serious symptoms should go to the nearest emergency ward immediately
2. Assamese at Al Ain Convention Center, Al Qubaisi Hall (Al Ain), Zayed Port (Abu Dhabi), Madinat Zayed and Seh Hospitals (Aldafra Region) for those who are positive with mild symptoms, 50 years and older, and chronically ill.
3. Those who are positive without any symptoms should go to Seha Drive Through Testing Center and get tested. The asymptomatic should stay in the home quarantine until the test results come out. Householders should also be in the home quarantine.
4. At the end of the day at the home quarantine, check in at the Seha Drive Through Centers. The quarantine ends only if both tests are negative.
5. Those who are in close contact with the Kovid patient should also come to the Seha Center
6. Complete home quarantine registration at Seha Center. The quarantine should be given for seven days for those who have been vaccinated and 10 days for those who have not.
7. Those who are positive should be tested on the sixth and ninth day. If the result is negative, quarantine is omitted. The same pattern is followed in other emirates. Instructions in this regard are issued by the respective health departments.
