This Friday, 13 days of intense search were completed to find José Fonseca, the fisherman missing in the waters of the Limay on December 22, in Piedra del Águila. The operation extended downriver until The Chocón.

In the morning staff Neuquén Fire Department and Diving and Rescue Brigade of the Neuquén Police, started the tasks at the campsite “Negrin’s” in the town of Picún Leufú.

Then, a member of the division of Department of IT was transferred by boat to an island located in the middle of the Ezequiel Ramos Mejía reservoir from where rollovers were carried out with unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

Simultaneously, the boat navigated and reviewed five islands within the reservoir and 7 kilometers Upstream, freediving tasks were carried out to see underwater.

At 17:30 the search day ended with negative results.

José Victorino Fonseca was last seen at the height of kilometer 1432 of Route 237, on the river coast while fishing

Last week, there was a hint. A blue backpack was found in the bed of the Limay River, which the fisherman’s family later recognized as belonging to the wanted man.
