Islamic State to release video of killing Taliban leader; The target is the support of the Salafis

Kabul: The Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) has announced that it will soon release the video footage of the killing of Taliban leader Rahimullah Haqqani.

Rahimullah Haqqani was killed in a suicide bombing last month. IS is preparing to release the footage as a propaganda video. ISKP’s media wing, Al Azaim Foundation (Al Azaim Foundation) clarified this.

According to reports, this move by the Islamic State is to bring down the Taliban government in Afghanistan and gain the support of the Salafists.

After the US-led NATO forces left Afghanistan, ISKP began to increase its influence in Afghanistan.

Haqqani was a frequent speaker of hate speech once morest the Islamic State. There were two assassination attempts once morest him, including the one in Pakistan in 2020.

Rahimullah Haqqani was killed on August 11. ISIS had claimed responsibility for the incident that day.

The incident took place in Haqqani’s madrasah in Kabul, the Afghan capital. Later, IS took responsibility for the incident through their Telegram channel.

Haqqani spoke in favor of girls’ schooling. He came out publicly supporting women’s right to education.

“There is no justification in Sharia law to say women should not be allowed education,” he said in an interview.
