An order issued by Superintendent Police City Zone Islamabad Arslan Shahzeb on July 30 said that female constable Maryam Bhatti, who was posted at the women’s police station, had ‘habitual absenteeism and irresponsible attitude towards duty’. .’

The order said that a charge sheet and a departmental inquiry have been initiated along with the statement of allegations against the woman official. After examining the case from all aspects, the final opinion has been given that the lady constables are guilty and heavy punishment should be recommended for disciplinary action against them.
According to the order, the woman constable was personally summoned by the concerned officer on July 24 last month, where her written and oral statement was found to be ‘unsatisfactory’. In this regard, he has been ‘dismissed from service’ under the Punjab Police Rules, 1975.
On the other hand, Superintendent of Police Dolphin and Patrolling Ali Raza has also dismissed a female constable for posting videos on social networking websites.
In his order, he expressed ‘deep concern’ that in a video that went viral on social media, female constable Mukads Naz, who is currently posted at Dolphin Islamabad. She was wearing an official uniform and making videos of herself using an official vehicle, which she later uploaded on social media.

According to the order: ‘Senior officers of Islamabad were also tagged in the video, causing embarrassment to the police and bringing the department into disrepute. Their behavior is intolerable and against the rules of discipline.’
The order said that all the officials were ordered to refrain from such acts during duty hours but failed to follow the instructions of the competent authority.
