Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is going to hold a meeting in Islamabad today, the preparations for which have been completed, most of the entrances and exits of the city have been blocked by placing containers, while the citizens are facing difficulties due to the closure of the metro bus. Explosive materials were also recovered from the meeting place.

According to the NOC containing 41 conditions for the meeting to be held near Sangjani, the meeting will start at 4 pm and end by 7 pm.

Convoys coming from Punjab will reach Rawat via GT Road and Rawat via Chak Baily Road to Chakri Interchange via M2 to Piswal Road, besides residents of Murree and Islamabad will only reach Jalsa Gah via Margalla Avenue. while all other roads leading to Jalsa Gah from Islamabad will be closed.

Security red alert across the district

On the other hand, due to the PTI rally, on the instructions of the district administration of Islamabad, security red alert was put in the entire district, containers were delivered to different places to maintain the peace and order situation.

All entrances and exits of the red zone in Islamabad were closed with the help of containers, due to which the citizens are facing difficulties, the concerned persons will be allowed to go through the Margalla road to enter the red zone.

How many places Islamabad closed

29 places in Islamabad were sealed, New Margalla Road, Zero Point, Faisal Chowk, Bari Imam Cross were closed while Expressway, Merit Hotel Chowk, Nadra Chowk, Express Chowk were sealed.

Apart from this, Secretariat Chowk, Fata House, Tirami Chowk, Shahpur and Banigala Road were sealed while Faizabad, Naith Avenue, Golra Mor, Motorway Toll Plaza and Tarnool Pathak were sealed.

Before the rally, GT Road was closed for traffic from both sides by placing containers at Sangjani, while the entrances to Islamabad were closed at Motorway No. 26 Chongi.
