Isaiah Thomas very bitter that Boston didn’t give him a chance this season

In recent months there has been a lot of speculation that IT will return to Boston, but that hasn’t happened, and he’s obviously very disappointed that a reunion wasn’t possible.

“I opened my arms to try to come back,” Thomas said. “It’s not even about playing, and trying to pick up where I left off. I got past that, but I know there were times when I could help in the locker room. I’m not there day to day with this team, so I can’t speak to what’s going on, but I’m watching from the outside, and I felt that at times, Brad [Stevens] could have called me and given me an opportunity, but it didn’t.

“It’s very frustrating because of the relationship we have and the friendship we’ve been able to build over the years. There were opportunities for it to happen, and it didn’t, so it’s disappointing in a lot of ways, because I love Boston and everything that happens there. The people who have shown me the most love are obviously from Boston. »

After the deadline Boston had a lot of places in the workforce and distributed 10-day contracts, but not for its former leader, who resumed in the G-League, where he was a hit, in the hope of finding a luck in the NBA. Brad Stevens announced last month that a playmaker was not what the Greens were looking for. And since Stevens’ statements, this has been confirmed since they have signed 4 exteriors: Malik Fitts, Kelan Martin, Nik Stauskas and Matt Ryan. IT back to the Celtics, it’s not for now, and it may never happen.

“It’s frustrating, but I’ve done my part in so many ways to try to come back, to have a reunion, and it’s not even about playing,” Thomas said. “I can just help, I tell everyone, I can help without putting the ball in the basket. Many people understand this and know this. These are things that happen, I don’t blame anyone, but I thought to myself that with the closeness that we have and the closeness that I have with a person like that (Brad Stevens), I thought that there would be a opportunity, but it is not. You move on and wish them well. I still have a lot of love for everyone who has impacted my life in the city of Boston. »
