Is this the beginning of a love story?: Léo and Marie-Anne kiss in “Indefendable”

There was a sudden rapprochement between Léo (Sébastien Delorme) and Marie-Anne (Anne-Élisabeth Bossé) at the end of Tuesday’s episode, a scene that many viewers had been waiting for due to the feelings of the lawyer for her boss.

Now “free” following the departure of his wife Sara (Catherine Renaud) following 16 years of relationship, Léo took the first steps by advancing towards Marie-Anne to kiss her.

Is this the beginning of an idyll between them, of a relationship? Several questions arise given that Marie-Anne is in a relationship with Leo’s best friend, Maxime (Mathieu Baron), and that Leo’s marriage may not be over for good, even if Sara has fallen into the arms of his colleague Laurent (Éric Robidoux) because Léo was not often at home.

“Yes, there is a rapprochement between Léo and Marie-Anne, but it is far too early to draw conclusions. Viewers will discover in the coming weeks the feelings they have for each other,” said the “showrunner” and designer of the first season of “Indefensible”, Izabel Chevrier, to the QMI Agency.

“Life isn’t simple, and the story between them won’t be simple either because love is full of contradictions, questions, ups and downs. Léo and Marie-Anne know very well that they are in an uncomfortable and delicate position”, she added, especially since Maxime will remain around because of his job as an investigator and his friendship with Leo.

“It will create a lot of psychological and emotional tension, because we love all these people, and to see them caught in an untenable context will certainly touch the viewers. This frame resembles the frame of a lot of people, myself I fell in love with my spouse, Me Richard Dubé, at work, “said Ms. Chevrier regarding the criminal lawyer who is behind all the trials in the series.

Ms. Chevrier already knew, even before the start of filming last winter, that Léo and Marie-Anne would get closer. We had sown clues here and there regarding the lawyer’s interest. “It was in my bible two years ago. When we did the “casting” of all the characters concerned, they already knew the trajectory over the year.

At the end of Thursday’s episode, there will be nine weeks left of the first season of “Indefensible,” or 36 half-hours.

Changes within the team

The main author of the first season, Nadine Bismuth, is no longer in the adventure for the second season, whose main authors are now Izabel Chevrier and Me Richard Dubé, the two designers of the series. The couple works with seven other screenwriters to bring the intrigues of the daily legal life to life. Coordinating director Stéphane Simard and other artisans behind the camera have also left.

“There was indeed movement of personnel as on all projects.
