Bankruptcy of Silicon Valley Bank, upheavals of Credit Suisse finally bought by UBS, multiplication of bailout plans by the Fed and the Treasury which maintain uncertainty regarding the seriousness of the situation, rise in interest rates by the ECB: then that the global financial system has been plunged into instability for regarding ten days, what are the risks of a global crisis and how to assess the weaknesses of the international financial system?
How do these financial crises relate to the global inflationary context that Europe and the world are experiencing due to the war in Ukraine? If the Governor of the Banque de France wants to be reassuring regarding the growth and inflation figures as well as the solidity of French banks, how can France – in the midst of reforming its public finances, which is, moreover, plunging it into a political and social crisis – does it face the threat of recession? Inflation, ever more difficult to predict and anticipate?
What public, economic and financial policies should be envisaged in the short and medium term to improve the situation, and on what scale?
