Although the main causes of cancer are not known, there are specific factors that may increase the chances of infection, especially eating certain foods.
In the following lines, “Consulto” reviews the relationship between diet and cancer, according to the “Everydayhealth” website.
The effect of diet on cancer
It is normal for the diet to affect the chances of developing cancer, according to the nutrients in each meal, which vary according to the type of food, as shown in the following:
1- cruciferous vegetables
Cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, watercress, kale, broccoli, and cauliflower help fight cancer and detoxify excess estrogen, because they are high in calcium and some compounds with anti-cancer properties.

3- fish
Studies have shown that people who are accustomed to eating fish are less likely to develop cancer, because fish contains anti-inflammatory properties in the form of polyunsaturated fatty acids, and therefore care must be taken to eat a good amount of fish, especially fatty fish such as tuna, salmon, sardines, herring and mackerel.

5- Yogurt
The results of a study published in the International Journal of Epidemiology in 2020 showed that eating a little milk or yoghurt increases the chances of developing breast cancer by 30%, and therefore the higher the amount of dairy eaten, the lower the chances of developing cancer, because dairy products are a good source of calcium and protein.
