Warranty repair is carried out at the expense of the manufacturer and involves the elimination of malfunctions that arose through his fault (design miscalculations and etc.). Before performing a warranty repair, the service center carries out troubleshooting of the car and substantiates to the manufacturer (more precisely, to the distributor) that the malfunction is related to a factory defect. Every car company has its own procedure. Couldn’t it turn out that AvtoVAZ’s guarantee would be weaker than in the case of the “native” guarantee from Renault?
– There is no clearly defined regulation from AvtoVAZ for Renault dealers yet, – Sergey Meshcheryakov continues. — But, since Saturn works with both manufacturers, we know that there is no cardinal difference in the terms of the guarantee. That is, if we conditionally take the Lada XRAY and Renault Sandero models, then with identical breakdowns they will be recognized as warranty both there and there. Another thing is that the procedure for issuing a guarantee is different, but this is already our internal concern. We know how it works for Lada, we know how it works for Renault. We are ready to adapt to any scheme, even if it is a kind of “arithmetic mean” between the procedures of AVTOVAZ and Renault.
At the moment, the details are being coordinated between Renault dealers and AVTOVAZ structures.
In any case, our clients are our priority. We have good stocks of spare parts, and in some obvious cases we are ready to carry out warranty repairs in advance at our own expense, taking into account the fact that the AVTOVAZ warranty service will subsequently compensate us for this,” says Sergey Meshcheryakov. – But at the same time, situations arise when repairs are impossible without agreement, but here we are talking only about a certain increase in the period. We really hope that customers will treat the situation with understanding, taking into account what is happening in the country.
